The right pilot bit decides how fast you steer and how long the head lasts. Our spade bits carry tungsten-carbide hardfacing for soft to mixed soils, while conical bits use carbide studs to stand up to gravel, cobble and soft rock. Bolt-on bits fit the 4-bolt pattern of our transmitter housings; threaded rock bits connect directly to the drill string.
