Privacy policy

How DHT Europe collects, uses and protects the personal data you share with us — for example when you send an enquiry or an order request.

Last updated: 26 June 2026

Who is responsible for your data

DHT Europe is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Org. no.: 000000-0000 · VAT: SE000000000001
Email: sales@dhteurope.com

What data we collect

We only collect the data you choose to give us through our contact form and order request form. That is:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if you provide one)
  • Company name (if you provide one)
  • Machine brand and model (if you provide them)
  • The content of your message — and, for order requests, the product and quantity

We do not collect any data about you beyond what you submit, and we use no tracking or analytics tools.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use your data only to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and handle your order request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. It is processed on our behalf only by the suppliers that run our website and forms: Web3Forms (delivers your form submissions to us) and Netlify (website hosting). Both act as our data processors under a data processing agreement. Where a processor stores data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry or order request only as long as needed to handle the matter, and at most 12 months after our last contact, after which it is deleted. If your enquiry leads to a business relationship, related records may be kept longer where the law requires it (for example accounting rules).

Cookies and storage

This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking. The only thing we store in your browser is your chosen language, so the site remembers it on your next visit. This is a functional setting that does not identify you and requires no consent.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased
  • Restrict or object to our processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@dhteurope.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
